As we have been reporting to you this evening about the gorilla that had escaped from it’s enclosure at London Zoo this afternoon.

Well now a visitor to the zoo has said that the large silverback gorilla was looking ‘intimidating’ and one of the female keepers told them not to stare at the impressive animal.

Apparently Kumbuka, what the Gorilla is called charged at the glass a number of times during the day.

Eyewitness Oliver Barker was at the zoo today for a marketing conference and has spoken to the Mail Online about what exactly went on.

He said:

‘He looked like he was in a sort of trance, he definitely wasn’t relaxed at all.

‘He looked very intimidating. The zookeeper came over and said, “don’t aggravate him by staring at him”.

‘She could tell he was very agitated, and lo and behold soon after we were told he had escaped.’

In one video what has appeared online two girls who went to the zoo today said that the gorilla has been in a ‘mad mood’ all day and kepted bangging on the glass to get out.
