Alan Carr Says Chatty Man Was Axed Due To It Being So Hard To “Book The Guests” For The Show

The other week we told you the sad news that Alan Carr’s chat show Chatty Man had been axed after it was losing the rating war with other chat shows The Graham Norton Show and The Jonathan Ross Show but now Alan has said different.

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning today Alan said that the show was axed because the producers found it so hard to book guests for the show.

Alan was on the morning show to promote his new book and chatting to Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley he said:

“Do you know what it’s like, with chat shows, I mean 16 series. I’ve got an amazing two-year deal with Channel 4, and I can do whatever I want, I love you so much thank you Channel 4.

He continued:

“But I don’t want when this ends next year is all I’ve done is a chat show. I want to try new things, so I want to try something a bit different.

“Booking three guests on a Wednesday, you’ve got to have three guests on the sofa and it’s just getting harder and harder.”

It must be hard but he has had some of the biggest gues including Adele, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga and plenty plenty more.

Most celebrities wanted to appear on his chat show so you would have thought that they would be queuing up to star on that famous sofa.
