This morning the police force have confirmed that they have lost one of their own during the Manchester terror attack on Monday evening.
22 people lost their lives and now one of them has been named as an off-duty police officer who was at the concert with her husband and two children.
The officer has not been named yet but it was the BBC who confirmed the news as the shared a statement on Twitter as they tweeted:
BBC News understands a female police officer was killed in Manchester bombing. She was off duty at the time.
Female officer’s husband is critically ill. Their 2 children were injured.
