They received lots of backlash from LGBT rights after previous series of Love Island never featured people from the LGBT community but it seems that it’s not going to change anytime soon.

Now it has been confirmed that this years series what is set to begin in the summer will not feature people from the LGBT community again.

Executive Producer Richard Cowles has said to the MailOnline:

The format doesn’t really allow it. If you’re familiar with the programme, it’s about coupling and recoupling.’
