Now at the point in the year Big Brother should be in full swing on our TV screens but with the success of Love Island the producers of the show have decided to not air the civilian series of the reality show until August.
It’s normal early June when the housemates enter the house for a summer of fun but with Love Island being the most watched TV show of the year they just don’t want the clash and people not turning in.
With Love Island being on at the same time Big Brother received its lowest ever viewing figures last year according to sources and now tabloids are saying that the producers want to get Love Island over with before they put the latest series of the show on.
A source has said:
“Big Brother bosses are open about the fact they don’t want to take on Love Island in the ratings,”
“They have revamped the casting team behind the scenes in a bid to shake things up in terms of casting new housemates.
“The show won’t start until the end of August at the very earliest.”
We have to say we think they have done the correct thing.
