Amber Davies has admitted some advice what Dolly Parton gave her after filming a reality show about the country singer legend.
Amber who won Love Island in 2017 with her then-boyfriend Kem Cetinay, found success in the West End leading lady after landing a role in Dolly’s musical 9 To 5.
Amber flew out to America where she meet up with Dolly and it seems like she gave her some good advice.
Amber has said that Dolly told her to swear off men because they’d “ruin her career”.
Amber says that while she’s “still a party girl at heart”, she’s realized that it’s not the right time to have a man in her life.
Talking to The Sun Davies said:
“It was actually Dolly Parton who first gave me the advice.
“I always thought I’d be settling down by now, but I went out to meet her and she warned me to avoid the temptation of romance for now and focus on my career.
“She said, ‘Career first, men can wait for you’, and it turns out she was completely right.”
Dolly offerers great advice and we think that we could all take a little bit away from her.
