Emmerdale and Coronation Street Only Have A Small Number Of Episodes Left As Coronavirus Puts Hold On Filming

Emmerdale and Coronation Street have only a hand full of episodes let of the soaps to air.

The soaps aired on ITV had to stop filming in March after the UK was put into coronavirus lockdown and since then the soaps have been limiting episodes thought out the week so they don’t run out.

Well now it’s been said that there are only enough episodes for Emmerdale to air until end of May, while Coronation Street will stay on air until the end of June.

Speaking during an online Q and A at the Edinburgh TV Festival, channel’s boss Kevin Lygo revealed that the bosses have been putting planes in place so when they can get back to filming the cast and crew can all keep their two meters distance.

Kevin admitted that the older cast members wont be returning to filming anytime soon as he said:

‘I don’t want Ken Barlow to get sick.’

It seems like the soaps are seriously going to be shock up and no doubt they will have to use camera angles to try and make the cast member look like they are standing near one and other when they are actually not.
