Well now Ellie has been talking about how she often fasts for up to 48 hours to help with inflammation after she was told by a medical profession that it’s fine for her to fast for this amount of time.
Talking to The Mirror Ellie said:
‘I do it very safely by having a purposefully nutritious food day the day before and after.
‘On the fast day, I drink high-grade electrolytes and a LOT of water (plus tea and coffee). Fasting is safe and beneficial unless you are diabetic or have serious health issues.
She continued to say:
‘I built my way up to 40-hour fasts over time (started with 12). Fasting from time to is a great way to give your digestive system a break.’
Ellie has said her good blood sugar levels and reduced inflammation to fasting.
The singer has admitted before that she has had an addiction to working out but now feels under control.
