Piers Morgan has admitted that his co-presenter Kate Garraway is ‘going through a living hell’ on Good Morning Britain on Monday morning as her husband Derek Draper fights for his life with COVID-19.

Derek who’s been in intensive care for the last seven weeks fighting for his life with the coronavirus still remains in hospital and continues to battle coronavirus and remains in a critical and unresponsive condition.

Piers said on Good Morning Britain on Monday and said:

‘We haven’t talked about it much because Kate Garraway is going through a living hell like many people.

‘Her husband has been in a very serious condition for many many weeks.

He then continued:

‘We can all just hope and pray he comes through it, but it’s been very, very difficult for Kate and her family.

‘We miss her here at the show, but obviously we stay in touch with her a lot. We send her and the kids all our love and we just wish Derek all the very best.’

Then co-host Susanna Reid added:

‘We haven’t said much, we leave it up to Kate, because she updates fans on Thursdays after the Clap for Carers and then Ben Shephard updates viewers the next day.’

So sad.

We really hope that he starts to improve we would love some positive news from Kate.

Thinking of her and her family.
