Holly Willoughby Writes Emotional Farewell To This Morning On Instagram As She Starts Her Seven Weeks Holiday

Holly Willoughby has penned an emotional tribute to This Morning as she breakup for seven weeks for the summer holidays.

The television presenter took to her Instagram account on Friday night to thank the viewers for watching the show while they continued to go live everyday during the coronavirus lockdown after the government gave them permission to still air the show due to it broadcasting all the latest news on the pandemic.

Every week Holly and her co-presenter Phillip Schofield went live along with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford with a stripped back team as most of the staff where working from home.

Holly penned:

‘Thank you’, she wrote: ‘Thank you …. thank you for staying with us over the last 109 days…

‘When we began this new way of broadcasting, we had no idea how long we would be able to come in, or whether it would be our last time broadcasting from the studio during lockdown.

‘The team have adapted and had plan a, b, c and d in place just in case…Some days we didn’t know If we’d have the content to fill the show, but somehow we always managed it and even had a few laughs along the way.

She then continued:

‘You see us, but we feel that you are there with us, every single show…

This Morning holds a mirror up to life and reflects the mood of what we are all feeling. I can’t thank our team enough!

‘Martin Frizell, Emma, all the production who came in.

‘The production team who worked from home, crew, the TM family and fellow presenters who are consistently brilliant, but mostly to Phillip Schofield for metaphorically holding my hand and reliably being socially distanced shoulder to shoulder with me…

‘What a strange time… Feeling incredibly grateful … Huge love, thank you again… See you in September.’

Have a look at the post she shared to her account below.

We have to say it has been one hell of a series and it wouldn’t have been the same without Holly and Phillip.
