Sky Sports presenter Simon Thomas has shared his heartbreak after his wife Gemma has died just three days after getting her cancer diagnosis.
Gemma was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia and now Simon has said that he was ‘crushed with indescribable pain’ following the death of his wife.
Writing on Twitter Saturday morning Simon said:
‘Today I am crushed with indescribable pain. Just three days after falling ill with Acute Myloid Leukaemia, my dear wife Gemma passed away yesterday evening surrounded by her family and friends.
‘If you are a prayer – pray for my boy Ethan. 8yrs, precious and in bits. Thank you.’
We are thinking about him and his family at this sad time.
News has just broke that award winning pitcher and keen pilot Roy Halladay has been killed.
Roy has crashed a brand-new ICON A5 plane at around 1pm, 10 miles off the coast of St Petersburg, Florida he only received the plane in October.
A case is ongoing to find out what exactly he passed away from.

The singer passed away at his home in Tennessee on Saturday after contracting a short illness.
Breaking news this morning is that former Coronation Street actor Iain Rogerson has passed away.
It’s been said in the press that the actor passed away due to an insulin overdose, an inquest heard.
Iain played Harry Flagg for two years in the ITV soap and he passed away at Wrexham Maelor hospital on October 13
His character was axed from the show in 2004 after several people where axed.
News has just broken that Liz Dawn has passed away.
The Coronation Street star has been unwell for a number of weeks now and sadly the news was broken on Tuesday morning.
Liz has had a long battle with lung condition emphysema and over the last few weeks we have been hearing that she is in and out of hospital.
A statement from her family has been published and said:
“We are devastated and heartbroken at the passing of our much-loved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, the incredible Liz Dawn.
“Liz died peacefully last night at home with her loving family around her.
“She has been the love, light and inspiration in our lives and we are bereft at her passing.”
A statement from Coronation Street: “It is with the greatest sadness that we have learned our beloved Liz Dawn has passed away last night. Her family at Coronation Street are heartbroken.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathy at this very sad time to Liz’s devoted husband Don, her loving children Graham, Dawn, Ann and Julie, their families and her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
“We have been blessed to have Liz in our lives, as she was such a kind, considerate and caring friend and colleague. As Coronation Street’s Vera Duckworth for 34 years, Liz brought so much joy and happiness to so many. She was a wonderful actress who will forever be a true Coronation Street legend.
Such sad news she will be greatly missed.
He was the man who we all watched growing up when we was children but some sad news has broke Wednesday morning as star of Bodger and Badger, Andy Cunningham has passed away aged 67.
Andy who was the lead actor in the children’s fave death was confirmed by family and friends as he passed away at Brighton’s Royal Sussex County Hospital on Monday following a lengthly illness battle with cancer, his sister Tessa told Press Association.
