Sad news broke yesterday morning that The Prodigy’s frontman Keith Flint has passed away.
Keith who wrote songs such as Firestarter, Breathe and Smack My B**** Up was found dead at his home in Pleshey near Chelmsford.
It has been said that he passed away due to suicide and Essex police have said that they are not treating the case as a murder enquiry.
Keith took his own life just days after putting his home what he shared with his wife on the market after they separated last year.
It was only 48 hours before his death that Keith ran the Chelmsford park run in a personal best time of 21 minutes 22 seconds on Saturday morning.
The Sun have reported that the split from his wife may also have prompted him to start taking drugs again.
In a interview in The Sun in 2015 Keith said he ‘wasn’t saving up for anything’ and was ‘cashing it all now’:
I’ve always had this thing inside me that, when I’m done, I’ll kill myself. I swear to God that’s not suicidal – it’s definitely a positive thing. The moment I start sh***ing the bed is when you’ll see me on the front of a bus.’
Today is a very sad day as Colchester Zoo have announced their one of their most loved animals Rajan the orangutan has sadly passed away.
Rajan’s health was slowly going down hill over a number of months as he suffered from extremely bad arthritis and the staff decided to put him to sleep.
The lovely orangutan who has been at the zoo since 1980 was 50 years-old- and loved interacting with members of the public thought the glass and he made the press world wide on a number of occasions with his love for pregnant womens bellies and tattoos.
Colchester zoo relesed a stateent and have said:
“We are aware that there are many visitors that have grown up knowing Rajang and who visited him regularly. To ensure we capture all of your beautiful memories we are going to site a special book at Orangutan Forest where we kindly ask you to write your fondest memories of Rajang.Rajang has been one of the most amazing ambassadors for his species which is so vitally important especially right now with the effect of deforestation which is reducing the number of orangutans in the wild.Sleep tight Rajang, you will be missed but never forgotten”.
