Holly Willoughby has been said to be replacing Ant McPartlin as the host of this years I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
Holly apparently has been asked to take over presenting along with Declan Donnelly while Ant recovered from his addictions as he announces that he is taking time out of work until 2019.
A insider has said to The Mirror:
‘Holly is 100% confirmed to be going into the Jungle this year as Ant’s stand-in’, as speculation continues to mount surrounding the signing…
‘It’s been in the works for weeks as ITV were really keen on getting her in.They’ve taken their time announcing it as they wanted to be sure Holly could fit it in with her family and other work commitments.’
The Sun have also said that Holly has been in ‘secret negotiations with show bosses’ about hosting the show filmed on Australia.
Do you think Holly is a good replacement??
It’s been said that Declan Donnelly is going to be having a co-presenter to host I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here after Ant McPartlin has said that he is not going to be returning to work for at least another year.
Ant who has been out of the public eye since the start of this year after he relapsed during his addiction recovery has said that he is going to be away from our TV screens until 2019 but the question is who is going to be standing beside Dec when I’m A Celeb returns in November.
Rumors have been flying around for weeks now and it did seem that Holly Willoughby was the favour to replace Ant but now some other people have been thrown into the mix.
Scarlett Moffatt and Stephen Mulhern have been rumored and also host of the Australia version of the ITV show Julia Morris.
Julia has gone down a storm with viewers to the Australia series so maybe she would be the correct person for the UK version.
Since Ant McPartlin was arrested and charged with drink driving he has only been spotted out twice but now Ant has been photographed down the pub with his friend Declan Donnelly as they posed for a photo with a fan.
Both Ant and Dec where spotted out at a English pub garden as the fan snapped the photo and shared it to her Instagram account.
It’s been ages since the pair were seen out together and it seems like Ant really is looking well.
Let’s hope that he is not on the road to recovery.
With the success of Declan Donnelly hosting Saturday Night Takeaway by himself over the weekend it’s been said that Simon Cowell wants to him to host the finals of Britain’s Got Talent all by himself.
Dec who had to host the show by himself on Saturday night went down really well with the viewers and impressed Cowell that much that for the first time he is going to host the live shows of BGT all by himself.
A insider has said:
After last weekend the feeling is very much that Dec should take on BGT alone too – he did a brilliant job.
“The bosses at ITV loved him and want him back on screens as soon as possible, and Simon Cowell totally agrees that he’s the best man for the job rather than bringing in a new face.
They continued to say:
“It was obviously strange for viewers seeing him alone at first, but he took everything in his stride like a total pro. That’s not to say people didn’t miss Ant, but the overwhelming response was that Dec was fantastic solo too.
“It also solves the major headache over continuity issues because so much of the series is already in the bag after the auditions finished.”
Suzuki have confirmed that they have dropped it’s TV ad campaign what features Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly!
It’s been rumored that the pair got a whopping £20 million to feature on the add but that has all gone down the pan now that Ant was arrested and charged with drink driving.
A rep for the company has said to the Mail Online:
“Suzuki are withdrawing their advertising campaign with Ant & Dec. No further material featuring the duo will be aired and Suzuki’s endorsement deal with the pair has come to an end,”
“We agree with ITV and Ant & Dec that it was the correct decision not to broadcast Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend,” it continued.
“As a car brand we recognise the seriousness of Ant’s charge. We completely support Ant’s decision to seek treatment.
“Suzuki will however continue to sponsor the last two episodes of this series of Saturday Night Takeaway with our current idents.
“Suzuki very much supports Dec and ITV’s decision to broadcast the shows and as headline sponsors we also want to support the competition winners who have won places on the Plane to Florida for the series finale.”
The deal was for two years and has been said to have been one of the biggest British non-sports TV deals.
With the news that Dec Donnelly is going to be hosting Saturday Night Takeaway by himself it’s been rumored that Cat Deeley might be helping him host the show by himself.
A source has told the Daily Star:
“Cat can bring the feel good nostalgia that producers desperately need right now.
“She had brilliant on-screen chemistry with Ant and Dec for more than five years and would fit in perfectly.”
It’s not been confirmed if Cat will be on the show but it sure is looking that was as she went down a treat when she appeared on the last show of the series filmed live in Florida last year.
