Selena Gomez has been opening up about her life-saving kidney operation and confessed that she could have died if she never had the operation.
Selena got emotional during the interview and said that it was “kind of life or death” after she was suffering from autoimmune condition lupus.
It was earlier his year when Gomez annouced that her friend Francia Raisa had donated one of her kidneys to her in a secret operation.
Talking to US network NBC she said:
“My kidneys were just done.”
“That was it and I didn’t want to ask a single person in my life and that was the day I came home when I found out and she volunteered and did it.”
Then the presenter asked Selena:
“You feel like Francia saved your life?”
The singer responded:
“Because she did. That’s it.”
That’s amazing and so lovely that she had such an understanding friend.
As we have been telling you Selena Gomez has been taking a break from the public eye and then last week we found out that she had checked herself into rehab to get over her “anxiety, panic attacks, and depression”.
Then over the weekend photos appeared of Selena posing with fans looking really happy.
That got everyone thinking that she had left rehab but that’s not the case as she is in a towned rehab what is “private and quiet” but “super intense” Tennessee treatment facility.
A source has told Us Weekly:
“Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health. She can go to a very dark place.”
Then the source went on to say that Selena is meant to be in the studio making some more tuned:
“She was supposed to be recording, but she hasn’t told anyone when she’ll be back in studio.”
Then talking about Selena out for dinner at the Texas Roadhouse in Alcoa, Tennessee with her mother and stepfather:
“Selena was just like any other guest. She was really nice and tipped well.”
“She was laughing a lot with them while she was eating. She seemed happy and relaxed.”
She seem’s to be doing well let’s just hope that it stays this way.
