With Dancing On Ice returning to our screens last weekend one person has quit the show already.
The commentator Matt Chapman has decided to leave the show just after narrating one show after he was slated by the viewers after they said that he was ‘OTT’ while commentating the show.
Matt took over the role from late legendary broadcaster Tony Gubba and had to spend months learning the moves and the names of the twelve contestants.
Matt has told The Sun:
‘I’ve decided to hang up my skates, leave the rink and return to the turf and I wish the show the best of luck for the rest of the run,’
Sources have said that Matt had struggled to fir the ITV show in his diary as he has other work comintments.
The source said:
‘He’s a big character and a talented sports commentator but he had some mixed reviews in the first show, and he told ITV that perhaps it wasn’t for him after all.
‘It was always going to be a big gig following Tony who did eight series before he died in 2013.’
Wonder who will commentate the show on Sunday.
