It’s been confirmed that The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint took his own life via hanging himself.
It was Monday of last week when Keith was found in his £1.5 million pound mansion left unresponsive and then was pronounced dead by the paramedics who arrived at his house.
Coroner’s assistant Lynsey Chaffe told the court today:‘On March 4, 2019, Mr Flint, a 49-year-old gentleman, was found unresponsive at his home.
‘An ambulance was called paramedics arrived and found Mr Flint had passed away. Police attended, all protocols were followed and the death was confirmed as non-suspicious.
‘A post-mortem examination was carried out on March 6, 2019 at Broomfield Hospital by Doctor Lower who has given a provisional cause of death as hanging, which is under investigation whilst we are awaiting toxicology.’
A full hearing will take place on July 23.
In the last few weeks leading up to his death Keith was on tour in New Zealand and was happy in a relationship Faye Kelbie, 43, after the pair met in their local village.
But then days before his death Faye and Keith split up due to her not liking him on tour lots of the time.
It’s been reported in The Sun that Keith Flint hanged himself.
It was on Monday when Keith’s body was found at his Essex home just 48 hours after he was spotted doing the Chelmsford 5K run and spotted in a local pub with his person trainer looking happy.
His cause of death had not been announced until today.
The wife of Keith Flint has broke her silcen since the news broke that he had passes away via suice yesterday morning.
Flint’s estranged wife Mayumi Kai took to her Twitter account on Monday to share a new article about Keith’s death.
Mayumi was 6,000 miles away in Tokyo when Keith killed himself last weekend aged just 49.
Sad news broke yesterday morning that The Prodigy’s frontman Keith Flint has passed away.
Keith who wrote songs such as Firestarter, Breathe and Smack My B**** Up was found dead at his home in Pleshey near Chelmsford.
It has been said that he passed away due to suicide and Essex police have said that they are not treating the case as a murder enquiry.
Keith took his own life just days after putting his home what he shared with his wife on the market after they separated last year.
It was only 48 hours before his death that Keith ran the Chelmsford park run in a personal best time of 21 minutes 22 seconds on Saturday morning.
The Sun have reported that the split from his wife may also have prompted him to start taking drugs again.
In a interview in The Sun in 2015 Keith said he ‘wasn’t saving up for anything’ and was ‘cashing it all now’:
I’ve always had this thing inside me that, when I’m done, I’ll kill myself. I swear to God that’s not suicidal – it’s definitely a positive thing. The moment I start sh***ing the bed is when you’ll see me on the front of a bus.’
